Katie & Ethan

I was very excited to work with Katie & Ethan. We all giggled during our consultation and I left it knowing that I could tell a great story about their love for one another. There is nothing more rewarding that photographing people that you like and feel a connection with.

I was attracted not only to Katie`s beautiful smile but to the cutenes of her personal style. She couldn`t have done a better job choosing the outfits for their engagement session.

Engagement photos should be personal. They should be much more than portraits of two people in love. I focus on portraying the couple's story and passions by implementing the places that are part of their history as as couple.

Katie and Ethan went back to the place where they went on their first date: Screaming Tuna restaurant in the Third Ward. After having a drink there and recreating a dear memory to them we moved into their neighberhood. The Milwaukee Lake Front Brewery bridge is a place they walk over often. We used the metal structure for the last portion of their session. In the background you can even see their apartment building, mak ing it so much more personal. Years from now, they will view these photos and it will evoke not only the memories of the session, but the memories of their first date, their bridge and their first apartment together.

We can't wait for their wedding next weekend at Discovery World Museum.
